9 Tactical Air Center


Location : Ambala Cantt
9 Tactical Air Centre was formed at 6 Wing (Barrackpore) in 1965 and was initially affiliated to 9 Mtn Div. in 1971. The Centre was affiliated to 2 Corps on its formation and moved to Krishnanagar and participated in Bangladesh Operations along with it. After the Operations it was -located at Ranchi and then moved to Kotkapura in Jun 72. In Mar 73, it moved to Chandimandir and Jan 84 it moved to " "Ambala, its present location.
